Music Therapy + Adaptive Lessons
WELCOME
Thank you for visiting Remedies in Rhythm, LLC
Greetings! My name is Hannah Hoffman (Howell), MT-BC. I am a board-certified music therapist dedicated to serving clients and students across northern Michigan. While music therapy may be new to our community, it has been a proven and effective profession since the 1940s. Communities worldwide have embraced music therapy strategies with great success in diverse settings such as hospitals, schools, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and mental health facilities. Here in northern Michigan, I am thrilled to launch my private practice, Remedies in Rhythm, LLC, to cater to the needs of individuals from various backgrounds.
My enthusiasm for music therapy stems from its profound impact on helping people achieve therapeutic goals. My journey into this field began with my Great Aunt Ruthie, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2015. You can learn more about her story and my path to becoming a board-certified music therapist by clicking here.

My Dream with Remedies in Rhythm, LLC:
I am working towards opening a clinic office in Emmet County and expanding my team to include other Board-Certified Music Therapists (MT-BC's). The demand for music therapy in northern Michigan is substantial, and I am committed to meeting it. However, I recognize that I cannot do this alone.
My goal is to establish contracts with every school system in Emmet/Charlevoix Counties, behavioral health clinics, neurological rehabilitation clinics, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and more. Music therapy is an incredibly powerful resource that should be accessible to all who can benefit from it.
Currently, I provide services through private pay and school-specific funds, including mental health services and as a related service for eligible individuals. In Michigan, Medicaid covers music therapy under the SED waiver program. This is a great option if you are a currently a client through North Country Community Mental Health.
